“In a spirit of respect toward the supreme authority of the universal Church, the dossiers of these priests were presented to the Holy Father,” the SSPX said.
Although I will add: may the Mother of our all knowing and merciful God, Mediatrix of all graces and CoRedeemer with her Son, be with them on their journey!
May God continue His blessings upon the Society of St. Pius X…🙏🏻📿✝️
This presentation is well put. By presenting these four names to the Holy Father, the SSPX clearly avoids even the appearance of schism, still less the reality of it. I hope that the Holy Father takes the recommendation of Bishop Athanasius Schneider and approves these consecrations before the fact. As Schneider points out, failure to offer this approval will allow the excommunications to take place and history will not look kindly on the Pope's failure to heal the breach with generosity.
Yes, they avoid the "appearance " of schism, but their action clearly separates them from Holy Mother Church. Praying for the Holy Ghost to enlighten their hearts.
I think for faithful Catholics who wish to follow Christ's teachings, we have been truly blessed with the gift of the 4 new priests - I know they will not be worshipping Pachamamas, on the contrary they will courageously uphold the dogmas of the Church and follow the reverent traditional Latin Mass.
Read the article. The 4 already are properly ordained priests. The schismatic issue is sspx’s determination to ordain them to the episcopacy, which cannot be done without authority from the Holy See.
It’s much more respectful and submissive than either China or Germany’s communiques; with neither country’s prelates being threatened with excommunication.
I’m sorry to say it but if the SSPX were able to provide the money given to Rome by Germany and China (likely through its still “secret deal”) I doubt there’d be such loud threats of pending excommunication.
Luther’s rebellion came down to money purportedly buying Peter’s keys to heaven. It seems still not much is new under the sun.
There’s plenty more to say .. but I’ll leave it there.
I would refer you to the wise understanding displayed by Pope Benedict XVI who lifted the prior excommunications. The peaceful tone struck by the SSPX in their presentation of the four priests to the Holy Father shows that excommunication is not the correct answer. It was not correct in 1988, and it won't be in 2026.
Benedict said in his letter which accompanied his lifting of the excommunication, "But should not the great Church also allow herself to be generous in the knowledge of her great breadth, in the knowledge of the promise made to her? Should not we, as good educators, also be capable of overlooking various faults and making every effort to open up broader vistas? And should we not admit that some unpleasant things have also emerged in Church circles? At times one gets the impression that our society needs to have at least one group to which no tolerance may be shown; which one can easily attack and hate. And should someone dare to approach them – in this case the Pope – he too loses any right to tolerance; he too can be treated hatefully, without misgiving or restraint."
Those in direct contrast to. Jesus- teaching are separated from the Holy Church..all the homosexuals and those that bless them and cover up pedophilia..there is something seriously wrong with you. I stand with all like Archbishop LeFebvre and Archbishop Vigano
I agree with you that Christ's Church is built on the rock of Peter. But does Christ's Church built on the rock of Peter worship pachamama like supposed Pope's Francis and Leo XIV?
Sometimes, yeah. Christ’s Church is full of dumbos. The Church militant makes mistakes left, right and centre. If you can’t cope with that, you have a lack of confidence in Christ and creating your own bishops isn’t going to fix that.
Comparing yourself to Joan of Arc and living in a zone of reasonable doubt is not a sound strategy for your salvation. Maybe it is raw power, maybe it isn’t, but Peter has authority and you don’t so I advise you to make peace with it.
I don’t know anyone at Saint Pius X’s, nor attended one of their Masses. However, I find very unfair the persecution they’re facing by the Tuchos at the Vatican, while we have to suffer the Lavender-Islamist-Pachamama agenda world wide. May God stop this double standard.
You are not alone and I agree with you entirely on this topic. What is morally reprehensible is now being elevated like an idol. Pagans should form their own church. Same sex actors have a right to exist, but they are knowingly and willingly not living in communion with Jesus Christ and his church. Jesus himself tells us NOT to act in accord with Pagans. We are all sinners. We are called to strive for holiness, not to give into temptation. How these men have turned the Lord’s prayer around on its head while the majority stay silent is terrifying. It’s as if they don’t believe a word of the Gospel, and how could they?
You know? I detest when they claim all these Sodomy friendly strategies come from the Holy Spirit , like LGBTQWHATEVER James Martin and all his puppet bishops and Synod group 9 suggest. That’s pretty blasphemous for me.
Thanks for telling it like it is. Tucho Fernandez and James Martin have to go, and if they are still kept on, it clearly shows the agenda of P. Leo - we are now seeing the ape of the church called modernism.

I was in high school when Vatican II was going on (1962-65), and remember well the 1988 consecration of bishops by Abp. Lefebvre and the subsequent actions taken by Rome. With all the anti-Tradition actions being brought on by the Synod on Synodality, let us pray that we don't have a repeat of the 88' excommunication. It would serve no purpose but to further inflict harm on Holy Mother Church at a critical time in Church history. Oremus!
Yes, Father in heaven, have mercy on us all that this process proceed and allow those who most love you and all the traditions of The Church continue in their scattered chapels to serve you as before until the ages of ages.
This is dishonest: "The Superior General reaffirms that the choice and consecration of these elects do not proceed from any desire to claim a power of jurisdiction or to establish a parallel authority within the Church. In no way do they constitute a denial of, refusal of, or challenge to the supreme, full, and immediate power of jurisdiction of the Vicar of Christ over the universal Church."
Council of Trent, Session VI, Decree on Reformation, Ch. 5: “It shall not be lawful for any bishop, under the plea of any privilege soever, to exercise pontifical functions in the diocese of another, save by the express permission of the Ordinary of the place, and in regard to those persons only who are subject to that same Ordinary: if the contrary shall have been done, the bishop shall be ipso facto suspended from the exercise of episcopal functions, and those so ordained (be similarly suspended) from the exercise of their orders.”
May God bless them and preserve them for many years.

May they prove to be as holy and steadfast in their duties as the previous and current SSPX bishops. Deo gratias.
Wait, Williamson was expelled from the SSPX. Do you mean steadfast like that?
Four good men and true priests. May God richly bless them.

Am I misunderstanding you or do you require pachamama approve or they are in schism?

Wow, I am surprised that JPII would do that! I never realized that JP II had this angst against the Latin Mass since he knew it growing up.
I was not paying attention in those days.
What was JPII's role in Vat II and the approval of the vilification of the Saints mass, the Catholic mass used for over 1000 years?

It does not avoid the appearance of schism. Are you nuts? If you are excommunicated, which these four men will be, you are in schism.
Which is better? communion with the pachamama church or communion with the real Catholic Church?
Christ’s church is built in the rock of Peter. There is no self-proclaimed real Catholic church that is separate from that one.
I agree with you that Christ's Church is built on the rock of Peter. But does Christ's Church built on the rock of Peter worship pachamama like supposed Pope's Francis and Leo XIV?

Well, maybe a future Pope will reverse the excommunication like Pope Benedict?
What are people to do dealing with what appears to be church leaders not following its own Catechism or the teaching of Jesus?
Comparing yourself to Joan of Arc and living in a zone of reasonable doubt is not a sound strategy for your salvation. Maybe it is raw power, maybe it isn’t, but Peter has authority and you don’t so I advise you to make peace with it.

Yes, it's blasphemy - James Martin, P. Francis and now P. Leo are promoting this.
God bless the new SSPX Bishops! May they serve the faithful well under the watchful guidance of Our Blessed Mother!
God bless these men.
May you have a long and fruitful service to the Church.
I will continue to pray for each of you, and now, by name specially.

Roma locuta; causa finita est.
Roma loquitur; confusio augetur.
Rome has threatened to impose the same penalty that was deemed unjust and lifted by a Pope.
The Vatican has been speaking from both sides of its mouth, especially since Francis.
Deus, quaesumus, adiuva nos omnes.
Amen
Thank you Diane for your faithful reporting.
We praise the courage of these leaders during the time of extreme crisis in the Catholic Church.
We are praying for our courageous SSPX leaders as well as for all the SSPX priests.
May they be blessed by the Holy Spirit to continue the work of saving souls.

Agreed. Actions speak louder than words.
Yes let’s all return to tradition.
Please, God, let the Holy Father approve of this request.

I'm not sspx. But I can and do read and learn from SSPX Sermons, documents. I certainly disagree on 3 substantial things.
But all else? Beautiful. I love Father Gomis, Father Robinson for defending
Coredemptrix in sermons . I am sure She is readying these 2 for Heaven.
She will not be outdone, no way..
The response to Rome, beautiful (with above caveat)
