If Pope Leo was truly open to lifting restrictions on the TLM why is he silent on the bishops in Charlotte and Detroit that have ‘banned’ the TLM and caused such distress and sorrow to the many faithful Catholics who just want to worship our Lord in this sacred and legitimate liturgy? Why is he silent when Cardinal Roche speaks untruths? Why is he silent when a verified questionnaire went out to all Bishops ,at Pope Francis’s request ,about the TLM and the majority saw no problem with its continuance? Why is he silent when known pro-abortion people receive The Holy Eucharist and priests and Bishops celebrate gay pride Masses and bless gay couples who are clearly actively practicing their lifestyle? He sees the divisions, confusion, and the outright disbelief of faithful Catholics who now feel that our Catholic Church is no longer God centered but man centered , and he is still silent. Silence, lukewarmness, lack of courage all speak of complicity. I honor the office of the Pope, but right now it is hard to honor the man who is the Pope.

This is the most unconvincing report I have ever read by Diane. I have little doubt that Leo’s view was accurately conveyed by Roche. It’s not clear to me why she resists this conclusion so fiercely.
