They lie about everything. From the fakery to create Traditiones Custodes, to the actual documents they wondered up from nowhere which hijacked Vatican II, you can only be sure of one thing in the Church leadership today and that is manipulation and deception.
The Laity have an obligation to speak out in defence of the faith when objectively speaking the Bishops of the Church have abandoned the defence of doctrine.
The man entrusted by Pope Leo with the selection of bishops in and for the universal Church is one of the authors of the report. What are the implications and when will they become manifest?
I have always assumed that this type of dissent was downstream from dissent over HV. But is that really true? Maybe this kind was prior, and from the point of view of some clerics, it was fueling dissent over HV, falsely presenting it as mainly “lay” dissent. At least, we seem to be looking at the same phenomenon, now spread out over 60+ years.
You make a very sound point. It has always been the assumption that Humane Vitae was the defining moment that started to slide, but we have probably been putting the proverbial cart before the horse. Given that those who demonstrated a vehement rejection of Humane Vitae were supposed to be celibate males, it is worth considering that the rebels had their own deep-seated personal motives.
The dissent over HV has its roots in the same desire to divorce sex from its procreative aspect (or at least the possibility of life under ideal circumstances and within a sacramental marriage).
The Canadian bishops conference made this dissent official in the disastrous “Winnipeg statement” which pretty much set in stone the concept that one’s individual conscience (educated or not by authoritative teaching) is the final arbiter between all moral/immoral acts.
Francis took this concept further than any other Pope and Leo appears to be following his lead.
This is not to say that JPII played no part in the development of confusion. We got a bit of a break in the progression with Benedict but he was fighting too many wolves that had grown too big over 60 years; he was also somewhat of a theological liberal at the time of the council. But at least he was willing to revisit his perspective and amend opinions he later realized had sowed some doubt and confusion.
Can there be any doubt now that the Church hierarchy--all the way to the very top--is overrun with and controlled by practicing homosexuals with an arrogance unmatched in the history of the Church!?

I read something yesterday written by an Anglican priest about ACNA and the “dear gay Anglicans” letter. This priest who is a theology professor said the pastoral and the theological cannot be separated. Indeed. Our identity must be in Christ and not our sexual desire or our sexual orientation.
Sin alienates us from G-d, so the pastoral focus ought not to be on the feeling of exclusion as a result of sexual identity, nor to adopt the therapeutic approach of affirmation, rather, the pastoral focus must be on biblical witness, and on leading persons to repentance and Christ.
So the solution to people living in sin feeling alienated isn’t to change doctrine to affirm the sin! That’s what SG9 seems to advocate. “Paradigm shift” and all.
Not to mention that for 1 in 5 Catholics worldwide, homosexuality is illegal. Yes, in 32 out of 54 African countries homosexuality is illegal. So the Wokerati “gift from G-d” can get people imprisoned or even killed in some parts of the world.
